Michelle Biolley · CH 2016 · E/F/D/d · 62 min

World Premiere Documentary
Is there such a thing as «Genderwonderland»? Filmmaker Michelle «Jazzie» Biolley set out to look for people who live their gender beyond conventional boundaries, and for countries where this is possible. The people she found are as different as the places where they live: from Tarek to Berlin, from Nico to the gender-utopian Folleterre in France and to the diversity-officer Stuart in New Zealand. Michelle Biolley’s dialogue partners focus on the possibilities of exploring «gender» in all its diversity. They also express their difficulties of not fitting into a world full of clichés of what «women» or «men» are supposed to be, and where there is no room for other genders.
