A turbulent comedy about a mixed bag of regular guests out to save their favourite bar from bankruptcy. Tim Oliehoek mates the tempo of “Mission: Impossible” with the feel of “La Cage Aux Folles” and comes up with genre mix beyond description. Add a handful of plotlines, not least the plan to steal a pink diamond necklace from the Royal Museum, throw in Amsterdam’s Canal Pride for the showdown scene, and you have 101 minutes of non-stop, whirlwind entertainment!
